SellerAide MCP

SellerAide runs a remote MCP server (Model Context Protocol), so an AI agent you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes, Grok, or anything that speaks Streamable HTTP — can read your numbers and your sourcing leads, and, with your say-so, write a few things back.

Server URL: https://www.selleraide.com/api/mcp. Agent access is part of the Scale plan. Connect from Settings → Agent access, where every client has step-by-step instructions and a copy button.

In short

  • Twelve tools. Seven reads and five writes. Reads are on by default. Writes are separate permissions you tick. Nothing ever publishes to a marketplace.
  • Numbers. One month's P&L, profit per SKU, what the books still need, what your stock is worth, and your expenses.
  • Sourcing. Your Lead Ledger with the nightly verdicts, and a buy-rule check for any ASIN.
  • Writes. Log an expense, leave a recommendation on a lead, add a lead, or draft a Facebook Marketplace listing.
  • Guardrails. A daily call budget per connection, an activity log in Settings, derived figures only, and a Disconnect button that stops access at the next call.

What an agent can do with them

  • Give a monthly business review. “How did I do last month, and which channel carried it?”
  • Find losers. “Which SKUs lost money in the last 30 days, and why?”
  • Close the books. “What do I still need to fix before I close August?” Then it logs the receipts you tell it about.
  • Find dead cash. “How much is sitting in unlisted stock older than 90 days?”
  • Verify leads overnight. “Check my buy-verdict leads, tell me which three you would actually buy, and annotate them with reasons.”
  • Feed the ledger from research elsewhere. “Add this ASIN from Target at $12.99.”
  • Draft Facebook listings for local sales. One listing from your monthly quota; saved in the app, never posted.

The tools

  • pnl_summary — One month's P&L with month-over-month and year-over-year deltas and a per-marketplace split. (numbers:read)
  • margin_by_sku — Profit per SKU over the last N days: revenue, COGS, apportioned fees, margin. Flags rows with no cost. (numbers:read)
  • cogs_status — What the books still need: unmapped and uncosted sales, receipts waiting, unmatched shipping, sync and payout issues. (numbers:read)
  • inventory_valuation — Stock cost by state from the nightly snapshot, plus the death pile: unlisted stock, capital tied up, age. (numbers:read)
  • expense_list — One month of manual and recurring expenses with totals by operating, COGS, and mileage. (numbers:read)
  • lead_list — Your Lead Ledger, best score first, with the nightly verdict and the buy-rule checks that failed. (sourcing:read)
  • lead_check — One ASIN against your buy rules using the nightly market snapshot. Never spends a Keepa token. (sourcing:read)
  • expense_add — Log one manual expense by category name. Same entry as Finances → Expenses. (numbers:write)
  • lead_annotate — Leave a buy/wait/skip recommendation with a reason on a lead. Shown as a chip; the verdict is untouched. (sourcing:verify)
  • lead_add — Add an ASIN (and the store you saw it at) to the ledger for nightly tracking, within your plan's cap. (sourcing:add)
  • listing_generate_facebook — Draft a Facebook Marketplace listing from a description. Uses one listing from your monthly quota. Never posts. (listings:generate:facebook)
  • listing_job_status — Poll a draft until it completes: title, description, QA score, and the link in SellerAide. (listings:generate:facebook)

Scopes: reads by default, writes by choice

When an app signs in, you see this list and tick what it gets. Reads are on. A write is on only when the app asked for it by name, and you can untick it. Every scope can be revoked on its own later.

  • Numbers (read) numbers:read — Monthly profit & loss, profit by SKU, the bookkeeping queue, inventory valuation, and expenses.
  • Sourcing (read) sourcing:read — Your Lead Ledger, nightly scores and verdicts, and buy-rule checks for an ASIN.
  • Log expenses numbers:write — Add manual expenses (a receipt, mileage) to your books. Nothing else changes.
  • Annotate leads sourcing:verify — Leave a buy/wait/skip recommendation with a reason on a lead. Shown as a chip; never changes the verdict, never deletes.
  • Add leads sourcing:add — Add an ASIN to your Lead Ledger for nightly tracking, within your plan's lead cap.
  • Draft Facebook Marketplace listings listings:generate:facebook — Generate a Facebook Marketplace listing draft from a product description. Uses one listing from your monthly plan quota. Never publishes.

There is no publish scope and none is planned. An agent cannot list, price, or ship on any marketplace through SellerAide. Writes add or annotate; nothing is deleted.

Limits and privacy

  • Every connection has its own daily call budget, and every call is listed under Recent activity in Settings.
  • Reads never spend Keepa tokens; lead checks use the nightly snapshot.
  • Money is returned as integer cents; ratios as basis points. The agent sees your derived figures, never raw marketplace records or customer data.
  • Sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; a personal access token is the alternative for clients without a sign-in flow.
  • Disconnect any agent in Settings → Agent access. Its access stops at the next call.
